Who I Am

I bring over 35 years of acute care nursing with 15 years of studying integrative energy healing. My diverse nursing experience included working and teaching in the emergency department and urgent care centers where I cared for a diversity of clients with a large variety of health care challenges. The observations that I made from the multitude of people that I helped to care for over the years made me want to understand the transpersonal aspect of being a human being and how one could tap into this consciousness to affect health and healing. I sought out deeper learning and found a program that had been created by an earlier nurse mentor of mine. I attended her Integrative Energy Healing program out of Langara College in Vancouver. It was a three-year program of experiencing many forms of energy healing along with learning the western science that was proving what indigenous healers and eastern gurus had known for centuries that the mind body and spirit are connected.

I continue to be deeply immersed in the study of mind-body connections, drawing further inspiration from Eckhart Tolle’s teachings on Mindfulness. Additionally, I have delved into Energy Psychology’s EFT tapping program, completing level one and two skills for professionals exploring how tapping can facilitate healing from trauma. My practice extends to Gabor Mate’s Compassionate Inquiry and Eugend Gendlin’s focusing as well. I engage in expanded states of consciousness practices such as Holotropic breath work and mindfulness in nature to assist in my own ongoing healing journey.

I am passionate about guiding people toward their inner wisdom, empowering them to become experts in their unique health and well-being. I open the door for people to realize their power and healing potential.

Gwen helped me with my severe anemia and heart disease by guiding me to the emergency department for a life saving blood transfusion. Once I was stabilized she guided me how to use tapping and yoga nidra for my anxiety. I am very grateful for her holistic nursing expertise and guidance.
